Aims & Scope

The Journal of Electrochemical Interfaces and Surfaces (JEIS) is a peer-reviewed international journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research on the science, engineering, and applications of electrochemical interfaces and surfaces. The journal serves as a platform for advancing the understanding of fundamental processes and the development of innovative technologies in the broad field of electrochemical surface science.


Aims

The journal seeks to:

• Promote the dissemination of groundbreaking research on the behavior and properties of electrochemical interfaces and surfaces at the molecular, atomic, and mesoscopic scales.

• Highlight interdisciplinary studies that integrate electrochemistry, materials science, physics, and engineering to address pressing global challenges, including energy storage, catalysis, corrosion, and sensor technologies.

• Foster collaboration between academia, industry, and research institutions by publishing applied research with real-world impact.

Journal of Electrochemical Interfaces and Surfaces welcomes original research articles, reviews, short communications, and perspectives in the following areas:

Electrochemical Interfaces:

• Fundamental studies of solid-liquid, solid-gas, and solid-solid electrochemical interfaces.

• Electron transfer mechanisms and reaction kinetics.

• Interfacial phenomena such as double-layer effects and surface charge dynamics.


Surface Modification and Characterization:

• Techniques for surface functionalization, coating, and patterning.

• Advanced methods for analyzing surface structures and compositions, including in-situ and operando studies.


Applications of Electrochemical Interfaces:
