Aims & Scope
Phytochemicals is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary research on plant-derived bioactive compounds and their multifunctional roles in health, agriculture, and sustainability. The journal publishes high-quality original research, reviews, and methodological innovations spanning the discovery, characterization, biosynthesis, and applications of phytochemicals, including but not limited to alkaloids, phenolics, terpenoids, and glycosides. We emphasize studies elucidating mechanisms of biological activity, ecological interactions, extraction technologies, metabolic engineering, and translational applications in nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and green materials. Phytochemicals fosters cross-disciplinary dialogue among chemists, biologists, pharmacologists, and environmental scientists, prioritizing rigorous science with potential societal impact, while promoting ethical and sustainable approaches to harnessing plant-based resources.
